Xavier Tyrone Yerby, 12, was such a smart, sweet, compassionate and energetic young boy. He loved reading, writing, drawing, coloring, painting, molding clay and most of all his legos and riding his ripstick. He was our “Mr. Fix It” around the house. I called him my little engineer; always coming up with ways to fix things. He was so eager to learn and help. Xavier had such a giving spirit. He would give you the clothes off his back if he could.
Xavier was up for adventures: going on long trail walks with Mom and getting lost, car rides with Dad to the video game store to pick up the newest game or going to the basketball court with his brother, Jadon. Xavier loved being outside riding his ripstick or climbing trees – always on the go!
We as a family want you to remember Xavier’s amazing heart for giving and his caring spirt. We ask you to honor Xavier by performing an act of kindness. We will be following in his footsteps.
Xavier will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Gregory Yerby Jr. and Alexas Brown; his brothers, Jadon McCall-Yerby, Emanuel Backus Browder and Dashawn James Galante; his grandparents, Walter and Marilyn Brown and Gregory and Paula Yerby; great-grandparents and a host or aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends for the viewing from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in the chapel of Weymouth Funeral Home. The family would love for everybody to dress in colorful clothing to represent Xavier’s love for color as we celebrate his beautiful spirit.
