On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Cliff was surrounded by his family as he went to be with the Lord. He was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula and a devoted member of the Gloucester Church of Christ in Hayes, Virginia. Cliff was an alumni of the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind where he was president of the alumni association. He was an important member of the wrestling team, where he won the State Championship in 1966. After working for the Business Opportunities for the Blind for 20 years, he had stints with the Daily Press, 16 years, and VersAbility at Langley Air Force Base, 6 years. He was an avid fan of UNC basketball and the Redskins and a lifelong fan of the LA Dodgers.
He is survived by his wife, Dena, of 50 years; his five children, Shannon Fox, Brian Turner, Jennifer Turner, Laura Skipper, and Austin Turner and five awesome grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Gloucester Church of Christ, Hayes, Virginia. A reception will follow the service at the Church. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
