Warren was born in Harlem, New York on November 4, 1944 to Oscar Llewellyn (deceased) and Eugenia Tolson. Warren departed his earthly body to be present with the Lord, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 2:05 pm.

Warren was previously married to his high school sweetheart at age 16, Barbara Ann Griffin (who predeceased him) and together they had four children. This event became the hallmark of his ministry as a great testament to single parenting; the loss of his wife at an early age and the overcoming of all of those challenges with the help of God. He graduated from John Jay College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree, Cum Laude in Criminal Justice and Psychology. On November 21, 1974, God blessed him again with a marriage of 44 years to Pamela Minns-Tolson. Warren was a retired New York City Transit Police Officer. He spent his final corporate years at Dow Jones in NJ, where he retired after 23 years. He and Pamela then moved to Florida.

Warren was a man of great faith having given his life to the Lord at 16. Warren’s early discovery of Christ led him to Bible School to become an Evangelist which allowed him to spread the gospel and speak about how he was able to overcome his many trials. Warren was an avid reader of the Word of God, had a deep passion to preach, teach and mentor the Gospel to many. He was a trusted and faithful member of Soul Saving Station in Harlem, New York, St. Marks A.M.E. Zion in Newtown, PA, and as Head Deacon at the Lambertville Assembly of God in NJ. Warren and Pamela formed the Tolson Ministries in order to spread the gospel further.   Warren was ordained in 1998 by Pastor David Demola, Faith Fellowship Ministries. Warren was a man of great presence and authority and would be noticed as he walked into a room. He was always ready to show love and empathy, and was constantly sought out for advice and prayer.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Pamela Tolson; six children – Tonya Tolson, Evelyn Pogue, Dawn Thompson (George), Spencer Tolson (Sally), Tyler Tolson, Christopher Bookhart; his mother, Eugenia Tolson; his sister, Barbara Spratley; three grandsons – Shawn Thompson, Bryant Thompson, Nicholas Rivera; two

granddaughters – Theresa Pogue, Maya Rivera; two great granddaughters – Trenaye Alexander, Aaliyah Thompson; one great grandson – Isaiah Thompson; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10:00-11:00am at Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services will take place at 11:00am at the church by Pastor Joe Hunt. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
