Steven Michael Scheitle, 33, died suddenly at home on October 19, 2017. He was a graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College and St. Leo University. He held a BA Degree in Criminal Justice.
Always proud of law enforcement officers, Steve’s dream, since he was five years of age, was to be a Virginia State Trooper. He worked for Virginia Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer at Deep Meadow.
Steven was a talented percussionist and loved all types of music. He also loved all types of animals. His best day was a day in which he could help somebody. He leaves behind his parents, Michael and Janet Scheitle of Williamsburg, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the York County Sheriff’s Office, York County Fire Fighters or your local law enforcement agency.
