Services Will Be Private

Rose Julia Crandol, 92, formerly of Hampton, VA, recently a resident at Wisteria Place in Abilene, TX, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday,  July 21, 2023.  Rose Crandol was one-of-a-kind and a true force of nature.  She was caring, compassionate, generous, and never knew a stranger.  She loved her family.  She embraced whatever life presented to her and was grateful for each day.  She embodied her favorite bible verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Crandol and her sister, Eleanor Treadwell.  She is survived by her four daughters:  Rosa Partello of Newport News, VA, Barbara Crandol of Tamassee, SC, Teresa Livengood of Stamford, TX and Debra Nicolai (Larry) of Hampton, VA; a sister, Carolyn Breeden of Spring Lake, MI; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and many lifelong friends.

In order to carry out Mom’s final wishes, there are no formal services scheduled.  Burial will be private. To honor Mom, wear a tie-dye shirt, read to a child, love someone unlovable, forgive the unforgivable, or perform a random act of kindness. Arrangements in the care of Weymouth Funeral Home.
