In true Henry girl fashion, Rose Anne Henry Livingstone could not make a decision and left this life in stages. On December 29, 2023,  with a handful of notes and her Rosie’s Gaming card, she went to rejoin her husband, Allan Livingstone.

Rose cherished her roles as wife, mother, sister, aunt, nurse, Grandma Sugar and GG Rose. Until unable to do so, Rose enjoyed creating art, going to movies and restaurants, and any family event she could get to. Never one comfortable as the center of attention, she was an attentive audience and cheerleader who savored the warmth when others shone.

In her unique way, Rose taught her family how to give and nurture and the importance of finding your own voice. Above all, she taught the unfathomable miracle of the human body. There are not enough words to describe the astounding resilience of her failing body.

She leaves her family to continue the story. Her children, Mary, Eileen, Rose, Maureen and her husband, Albert, Allan, James and his wife, Kelley, and John and his wife, Beth; grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Heather, Cameron and his wife, Lauren, Cullen, Abby, Aiden, Connor Malone, Jake P., Connor, Andrew, Sean and Ryan and her great-granddaughter, Aubree.

In lieu of flowers, please enjoy your favorite restaurant, go to a movie, or have a rye and soda, Bloody Mary, or s’mores in her honor.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News, VA. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Newport News, VA. Interment at Quantico National Cemetery will follow at a later date. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
