Robert Lee Drake, 87, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. A native of Boykins, VA, he had been a resident of the Peninsula since 1952. Robert was a graduate of the Apprentice School, class of 1956. He was an employee of the Newport News Shipyard for 38 years and was a General Foreman in the foundry. Robert was a proud Army veteran. He was also an active member of the Warwick Moose Lodge #1711 for 56 years, being awarded the Pilgrim Degree. He acted as administrator for 40 years and worked with youth baseball for 40 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Drake and brother, Carroll Drake. He is survived by his son, Robert C. Drake (Dawn) of Pulaski, TN and grandsons, Robert R. Drake and Michael Drake, both of Pulaski, TN.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021at Parkview Baptist Church with Pilgrim Rites. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, VA. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
