Melvin Granger Boyette, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He retired in 2006 from the Shipyard after 43 years of service. Melvin was a faithful servant to the Lord and a dedicated member of Community Bible Church in Newport News, VA.
He is survived by his wife, Roselea Boyette; his son, Melvin Boyette II; his daughters, Tanya Ellingsworth and her husband, Spencer, and Kathy Boyette Watson and her husband, John; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Sandy Kovach and her husband, Jim; two nieces and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Smithfield with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 pm at Community Bible Church by Rev. Neal Ross.
