Mary McCook, age 84, of Douglas, GA., formally of Gloucester Point, VA. passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. McCook was born on March 12, 1933 in Mustoe, VA. to the late Harry Tucker Hiner and Mary Catherine Harris Hiner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McCook; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: her son, Charles McCook (Karen) of Gloucester, VA.; four daughters, Mary K. LaCross (Daniel) of Gloucester Point, VA., Betty Jean Hosack of St. Marys, GA., Jo Ann Williams (Jimmy) of Douglas, GA., and Shannon McCook (Antonio) of Gloucester, VA.; two sisters, Pearl Buzzard of Hot Springs, VA. and Charlotte Vogel of Fort Washington, PA.; twelve grandchildren, BJ LaCross, Jennifer Harper, Candace Pullum, Christopher McCook, Karissa Harper, Heather McCook, Malinda Odom, Summer Driver, Andrea McCook, Jessica Carver, Alexis Foster, and Ayden Foster; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am–11:00am, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Weymouth Funeral Home, with Interment to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park at 11:00am. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
