Services Will Be Private
Margaret Ann Thompson, 67, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. She was born in Portsmouth, VA and had made her home in Surry since 1985.
She was a true lover of the outdoors and enjoyed sharing her passion for History with her husband. Together they enjoyed learning about the different war periods and visiting history museums. She was an accomplished artist as well, and especially loved painting landscapes. She loved hand carving out of wood and made the most realistic animal pieces. Most of all, she was a woman of faith and loved sharing the love for Jesus with others.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her father, Junius Britt. She is survived by her Mother, Mary Britt of Portsmouth; her loving husband of 33 years, Homer L. Thompson of Surry; a brother, Raynor Britt of Portsmouth; a sister, Elaine Harper (David) of Indiana; and other extended family and friends.
All services will be private at a later date. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
