Juanita Marie Zguro, 69, gained her wings on Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was born in Newport News, VA to William Tucker and Bessie Carter. Juanita’s journey through life led her down different paths; she was a dance teacher and a hairdresser for many years, which ultimately led to her passion in nursing, becoming an LPN in 1993. Juanita shared a home with her life companion of 28 years, Harry Sharpley in Newport News, VA. She had immense love for her pets, gardening and crafting. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas.
Juanita was predeceased by her parents, William Tucker and Bessie Carter and her brother, William “WC” Tucker. She is survived by her life companion, Harry Sharpley; her daughters, Angelina Daubert and her husband, Ray of Newport News, Sherry Craul and her husband, Tom of Newport News, Suzanne Chapman of Newport News; her only son, Jim Britt, Jr and his wife, Ann of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Billy Tucker of Newport News and Philip Tucker of Azusa, CA; 1 sister, Peggy Edwards of Newport News; a close niece, Kathy Curry of Newport News as well we many other nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at Peninsula Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will follow at Sherry & Tom’s Home.
