John Joseph Vogt, 86, died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, April 26, 2021. Husband, father, friend were all roles that he took seriously. Despite having lost his father at a very early age he became the example for many, including his daughter, Deborah; sons, John, Timothy and Robert; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A genuine man with steadfast character he was a compass for all who knew him and the bedrock patriarch of a happy and diverse family of which he was immensely proud. He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara, to whom he was married for 65 years and a large and grateful family.
Services are private. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
