John Richard Hall, 71, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. He was born in Harnett County, NC and had been a resident of the Peninsula for the past 65 years. Richard served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following his service, he was a self-employed painter and former waterman. Richard lived his life to the fullest.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hall; his children, Steven Wells and his wife, Ski of Newport News, Michelle Bentley and her husband, Woody of Newport News, Michael Sanders and his wife, Kristina of Newport News and Melinda Hofelich of Nags Head, NC; six grandchildren, Danny, Chris, and Steven Polyson, Luke Wells, Zachary Sanders, and Rachel Wells; a great grandchild on the way, his special friend, Jackie Bentley; and his fur babies, Maggie and Kaci.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Weymouth Funeral Home with Visitation to follow. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
