Jeanette Orlino died on July 20, 2018, at the age of 88. A graduate of the Long Island College School of Nursing in 1950, Jeanette Orlino worked many years in Pediatrics and retired from Nursing in 1970. In 1954, she married the love of her life, Vito (“Bill”) Orlino and stayed married for 54 years until Bill’s death in 2009. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as an active member and leader of Golden Hearts, Philoptochos, and Daughter of Penelope Societies of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Newport News, VA.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Judith Orlino of Williamsburg, her son, Dr. Robert Orlino of Chesapeake, five grandchildren: Paul, Brian, Jackie, Anneliese and Katie; and four great grandchildren.
A Trisagion Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Weymouth Funeral Home by Rev. George Chioros. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Newport News. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 60 Traverse Rd, Newport News, VA 23606.
