JAMES JUNIOR BAUGHMAN
James Junior Baughman, 94, of Newport News, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. He was born in Bucyrus, OH December 12, 1923. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. From 1962-1984 he was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co. as a Supervisor of General Management. He was very active with his church and community.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Iola, of 66 years and is survived by his son, James M. Baughman and his wife, Patricia of Hayes, VA and her granddaughter, Deborah J. Baughman of Bridegeton, NJ.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6:00-7:30p.m. at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Peninsula Memorial Park by Rev. Lisa Barberry of Crooks Memorial United Methodist Church.
