Jack Anthony (Tony) Schwaner Jr., 62, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
Tony was a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads and a graduate of The College of William & Mary.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents: Jack Sr. and Medabeth Schwaner. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Schwaner; children, Jennifer Brown (William), Jordan Schwaner (Vanessa), Rachel Schwaner (Victor Garcia); brother, Henry Schwaner (Sally); and devoted cat and companion Petunia.
From a child, he enjoyed annual family camping trips to Kerr Lake, and in turn brought this tradition to his own children.
Tony loved (and at times hated) the Minnesota Vikings, was a fan of history, and enjoyed a walk or ride on his bike. Tony always found time to take his family on vacation and was known to enjoy a good meal. In his later years, Tony enjoyed trivia night with his friends and family.
He will be fondly remembered.
A private celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 30th.
