Hugh Baldwin Campbell, Jr., 85, of Newport News, VA, passed away at home on February 25, 2022. Hugh was born in Buncombe County, NC. He proudly served the U.S. Navy for 30 years, retiring in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh B Campbell Sr. and Emma Lee Jordan Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianna; his son, Hugh B Campbell III (Annette); his daughter, Amy Christine Gray (Scott); his sisters, Aileen Fleming of Columbia, SC and Sue Morrow (Joseph) of Lake Junaluska, NC; his sister-in-law, Karen Thompson (Larry) of Canaseraga, NY; his brother-in-law, Ken Snyder (partner Tom) of Columbus, OH and his granchildren, Josh, Hugh IV, Colin of Sandusky, OH and Lucas and Evan of Newport News, VA.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice and Weymouth Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
