Air Force MSgt (Ret.) Harold H. Day passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2017. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in June 1930, he served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and 20 years in Civil Service at Langley AFB. He loved his family, friends, fishing, and traveling. He knew no stranger, warmly welcoming all those he met along the way. “Pepa” will be forever missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Day; his daughter, Gloria Anderson and husband, Michael; his son, Patrick Day and wife, Donna; and his wonderful grandchildren, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Weymouth Funeral Home. Harold will be laid to rest with military honors at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
