Cassandra Angel Garrison, 21, of Newport News, VA, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023. She was born to Anthony Joseph Garrison (Lisa) and Julie Ann Harris Garrison. She is survived by her parents and loving big sister, Brittney Hamilton and brother-in-law, John; her fiancé, Tyler Rutherford; her beloved nephews and nieces, Skyler, Emma, Abigail, and Landon; her grandfathers, Clarence Leroy Harris Jr., and Ernest Eugene Garrison; her uncle and aunts, Dwayne Harris (Teresa), Elizabeth Karr (Marty), Jennifer Mann (Jeff); and cousins, Zachery, Gavin, Ella, and Ava Mann, and Brayden Karr. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Barbara Harris, Mildred Adeline Buchner, and Sara Garrison.

Full of sass from an early age, she once kicked her ballet shoe from the stage during a performance. In addition to ballet, she was also on the local swim team during her elementary years. Cassie loved animé, gaming, and legos. She was a wonderful artist and had an eclectic taste in music and collectibles. She loved to cook and dreamed of becoming a lighthouse keeper. Cassie loved the role of aunt and barely missed a day in the lives of her nieces and nephews.
