Alex L. Stern, 63, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Alex worked in real estate for 37 years, spending the last 22 years at Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate. He graduated from Christopher Newport University and had served on the local boards of the UJC, Temple Sinai, the Newport News Rotary Club, The Newport News Green Foundation, and the American Red Cross. Alex enjoyed attending rock concerts with his son, attending car shows with his brother, and playing with his dog. He also enjoyed cooking, boating, fishing and watching sports.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Harryette Stern. He is survived by his friend and former wife of 24 years, Julie Stern; his son, David Stern; and his brother, Milton Stern.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Peninsula Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the home of Milton Stern in Davie, Florida. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
