Edna “Eddy” Catherine Creamer, 76, of Newport News, VA died August 29, 2022 in her home. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of the late Edmund Souliere and Philomena Lanza. She attended Elizabeth General School of Nursing and worked as an OR Nurse at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. Eddy enjoyed dancing, crafting, and decorating for EVERY holiday! She loved shoes and was an amazing cook! Known as a wonderful hostess, Eddy made the everyday extra special for those who were blessed enough to share her life.

Eddy was always of service to others. She was an active member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, serving in many ministries and volunteered at Mary Immaculate Hospital.

Her greatest joy was being a central figure in her grandchild’s lives. From Granny Lunch Days,  to countless field trips, to art and craft projects, to long discussions about life and D&D… she was “Grannytastic” in every way! “You’re a beautiful woman” and will be missed every day.

Eddy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael H. Creamer and her daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Daniel Rowett and her 9 grandchildren: Catherine Peters and her husband, Sean, Colin Rowett, Nora Petrone and her husband, Caleb, Henry Rowett, Jack Rowett and his fiance, Grace, Margaret Rowett, Lulu Rowett, Fredrick Rowett - her guy, Teresa Rowett; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Theodore Petrone.  and countless others who all loved her and called her Granny- (Kim, Tim, James, Jake, Lourdes and George).

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St Jerome Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church by Rev. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman. Eddy lived the Christian life showing and sharing her faith in her deeds. She was kind, sometimes zany and generous beyond measure. She has opened her home, her arms and her heart to many, leaving a mighty impact.
My love to all,
Marie
