Mary Ann Staton Tross, 80, passed away on August 4, 2022, in Nags Head, NC. A 1960 graduate of Hampton High School, Mary Ann was a loving mother and wife with a passion for life, music, and her grandchildren. A devoted Christian, Mary Ann loved beaches, ice cream, Red Lobster, and tomato sandwiches. She was best known for playing Christmas tunes on the family piano and lighting up the room with her debutant personality.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Tross; infant son, Mark Tross and parents, Clyde and Louise Staton. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Cooke and son, Steven Tross; her sister, Virginia Hart and her husband, JD; her grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Robins and Dylan and Cole Tross. She had a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m –12 Noon, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 Noon following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
