Alfio Joseph Bruno

Services will be held at a later date

Alfio Joseph Bruno, 83 former resident of Eastchester, NY died peacefully on May 17, 2022.

Born in Bronxville, New York Alfio Joseph Bruno was the son of the late Joseph Bruno and Josephine Bruno, and was predeceased by his brother, Peter Joseph Bruno.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene; his two beloved daughters, Julie and Lisa and son, Daniel Joseph Bruno; his grandchildren James-Rocco, Nicole, Joseph, Sofia and great grandson, Roman;  as well as his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law Andre & Gloria; and Step children, Jay and Kathy.

He was a master carpenter by trade, working as a Union contractor in New York City for many years, but his real passion was building.

In the early years of Alfio’s life he constructed his first home in Somers, NY through countless hours of precision labor with an eye for detail that can only be accomplished by a true master craftsman, there is where he raised his family.

In the later half of his life, he moved from New York to Virginia. He took a vacant plot of land and went on to design and build his waterfront dream home. There he and his second wife, Irene, would enjoy their retirement home together.

Al’s love for all things outdoors truly shined here. Situated in a remote area directly on the water was ideal for the things he loved to do; Boating, fishing, crabbing, gardening, chickens, pigeons, tinkering, and collecting antiques.

Al lived a very spirited life, who was the life of the party and loved a good time. His doors were always open to neighbors, friends and family. The gatherings they hosted will be missed by everyone.

Memorial Services will be announced shortly and will be held in both NY and VA. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
