Dorothy Sloan “Rev. Jan”, 90, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 peacefully completed her work on Earth and passed into a beautiful world of light and love.  A wonderful mother and friend, Rev. Jan was a generous and loving wife and mother-in-law, as well as Unity minister for twenty years. Her life was one of service to God. Rev. Jan’s hobbies ranged from amateur radio and theater to a skydive on her 80th birthday. 

She was the daughter of Alma Carter and Coy Watkins of Snyder, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sloan and her older siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki; her niece and nephew, Glynnell and Gary and many friends she collected over her lifetime.

A Celebration of Rev. Jan’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Unity Williamsburg Spiritual Center, 624 Queens Creek Rd, Williamsburg, VA, 23185.
