Ellen Baker Whiting

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022

Ellen Baker Whiting was born to Robert and Gertrude Baker on March 28, 1952 in Paterson, NJ and went to her heavenly home on December 19, 2021.    She was married to Gary Whiting on November 20, 1976 and is a mother of two daughters, Jennifer and Michelle, and one son, Cristian.  She has 3 grandchildren. 

Ellen’s journey on this earth is completed.  Her eternity in heaven has begun.  While traveling in this life, she was not afraid because her God was with her.  She was not alone in this life but was guided by God’s right hand.  She saw the beauty of her flowers (orchids!) He crafted and praised Him for his care in her own life.  With his Spirit, God gave her His strength, laid out the pathways of her journey, and began a good work in her life that was pleasing in His sight.  He directed her steps in raising her children along with lovingly spoiling her grandchildren!  Along the way, she added her voice to the Virginia Choral Society, and enjoyed the comradery of her fellow green-thumbs in the Peninsula Orchid Society of Virginia.  Even in death, He carries His good work to completion – for she has joined her voice with the ethereal choir in singing praises of glory to her Savior, Jesus Christ, forever.
