Joseph Allen Millwood, 63, passed away peacefully Friday, October 8, 2021. Mr. Millwood was a native of Yorktown, Virginia, and was a resident of Newport News for many years. He retired as a superintendent of Marine ship painting.

Joseph was predeceased by his father, William M. Millwood. He is survived by his soulmate, Louise Francis Dawes; his loving daughters, Rachel Hancock and husband, Steve; Stephanie Olive and husband; Phillip, Michelle Forrest and husband, Jerry; Dawn Millwood and Martin; his 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; his loving mother, Catherine Millwood of Cumming, Georgia; his sister, Terry Stapp and husband, Joe; sister, Lou Wright and husband Dan and sister, Sandra Harrison and husband, Richard.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Weymouth Funeral Home.

Gonna miss you Joe!Remember all the good times we had growing up in the lil neighborhood in Yorktown playing football,baseball and just being kids. Remember going to Darlington to the races with you and your dad. Take care and we will meet again one day.
