Kimberly spent many years traveling to different countries and states, as her father served in the military. Kimberly met Arthur at Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, SC. Kimberly enjoyed taking care of others and they both loved being out on the water in their pontoon boat and fishing. They adored spending time with their children and grandchildren as much as they could. Kimberly devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her grandfather, mother and two brothers. Arthur and Kimberly were loved by so many people and leave behind amazing legacies. They were truly one of a kind! Married 47 years!

A Funeral Service will be held at the Peninsula Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 pm for Kimberly and Arthur Vandegrift.

Donations may be sent to Samaritan’s Purse in their honor as this was their favorite charity.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17

Art will be greatly missed by his peers at the City and at Liberty Baptist. I had the pleasure to work with him both at the City until his retirement and at Liberty. His witness and smile were always present. I pray for God's comfort and blessing for his family.

Tyler and family, I want to express my Heart felt condolences to you all. Words escape me trying to figure out what to say. I only got to meet your dad on a few occasions at the fire house many years ago. Now Tyler and I know each other well as we worked, yes horse played at the station but together we worked on many fire scenes. If your dad was anything like the fine young man I worked with.. Which I know is true.. The world lost a good husband and wife. But God received 2 wonderful people in his arms. May God give you piece knowing where they are and that one day too we shall see them again.. Prayers to you all...
