Martha Trolinger Wallis, 68, of Wake Forest, NC returned home to the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Martha was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Ellicott City, MD. She was a 1976 graduate of Virginia Tech. Martha was the first female Firefighter in Howard County, MD. She went on to receive her BSN from George Mason University in 1989 and was an ICU nurse for 13 years in Fairfax County. In her free time, she was an avid reader, line dancer and bird watcher. Martha was not only a kind and warm woman of faith, but also an incredibly tough and strong-willed person.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jane Garrison Trolinger and William P. Trolinger, II and siblings, Charlotte P. Trolinger, William P. Trolinger, III. Martha is survived by husband, James R. Wallis; children, Rachel M. Wallis (partner, Evelyn) and Mikala Wallis-Woodyard (husband, Brian); brothers, John M. Trolinger, Robert S. Trolinger, and Benjamin H. Trolinger (wife, Colleen).

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Peninsula Memorial Park by Rev. James P. Massie IV.
