Betty Jean was born and raised in Hillburn, NY to Christine and Samuel (Kack) Van Dunk.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, sister and a friend to many.

After the tragic death of her devoted husband, Reppert Timothy Boone, in 1980, she with their two young children, Ronnie and Missy remained in Hillburn until relocating to Newport News, Virgina in 1983.

Very energetic, Betty kept busy with family, the beautification of her homes, gardening and outside employment.

Betty Jean was predeceased by her parents, Christine and Samuel (Kack) Van Dunk; six brothers, Bradley Van Dunk, Jack Van Dunk, Rudy Van Dunk, Marty Van Dunk, Douglas Van Dunk and Donald Van Dunk and five sisters, Doris Thomas, Molly Oliver, Christina Flourney, Sylvia Artis and Alice Oliver.

Her loving survivors are her son, Ronnie Boone; her daughter, Josie Michelle Prado (Missy); grandchildren, Tamaron Michelle Green and Javier Armond Prado and great-grandchildren, Ta'Niyah Tawauna Brown and Ta'Mea Amina Michelle Brown.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
