Allean Michie Creech, 91, aka, Doodle, Aunt Cookie, Grandmama, went to her final home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at The Hidenwood Retirement Home. She was born in Newport News, VA to Edward and Anita Michie. Allean was the fourth of five children. She married the love of her life, Edwin Carroll Creech on March 16, 1957. Allean was a graduate of Warwick High School and attended James Madison College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Allean loved baking, crossword puzzles, flower arranging, dancing, boating but most of all, her family. She retired from a long career in banking at Bank of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings: William Michie, Evelyn Crane, Betty Francis and George Michie. She is survived by her daughters, Lucille Wagner (Frank) and Winifred Trantham (Larry) and her son, Edwin Creech (Beth); her adoring grandchildren, Kristin Iwan (Neal), Katelyn Dragnich (John), Nathan Trantham (Caroline), Taylor Trantham (Emma), Edwin Creech (Sierra) and Warren Creech. The most recent loves of her life were her great-grandchildren, Charlotte Iwan and Lucy Dragnich. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Weymouth Funeral Home with burial to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the burial at the home of her daughter, Lucille Wagner. The family wishes to thank the employees of The Hidenwood and Harmony Cares Hospice for their love and support.
