The gates of Heaven were opened to receive our family matriarch, Patricia (Trish) Storen Weisflog on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She went peacefully into the arms of Her Lord and Savior when she fell asleep one last time at the age of 91. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Trish was born in Michigan City, Indiana where she spent her childhood and attended Elston High School. She raised nine children as a career military spouse living in Fort Eustis, Denbigh, and Village Green in Newport News. Trish later embarked on a career at the Montgomery Ward department store, eventually becoming Department Manager. After conquering the retail world, she was recruited into the real estate business, with DuVal Associates, where she became a top tier realtor until her retirement. Trish was passionate about getting the family together for holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas were filled with family, food, fun, and lots of laughter. She enjoyed the beach and traveling with Jim, her loving husband of 60 years.
Trish was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her son, Tom. Trish was the proud mother of nine children and is survived by Jimmy (Diana), Janie Boyd (Chuck), Robert (Juliette), Mary DuVal (Robin), Mark, John (Robin), Mike (Donna) and Tim (Lynda); 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Comments
Linda and Uncle Bob’s home about my husband Bill not going to the Catholic Church with me. Our children were small and it was worrisome that their Dad was not willing to attend church. Aunt Trish was so sweet and encouraging about this problem. She said she was in the position with her husband Jim early in the marriage. But she kept praying to Jesus, that Jim would attend church with her, because it was important to have the family worshipping together. She told me do not give up, Jesus would help us. With her encouragement, I kept praying that we would worship on Sundays as a family. And so it came to be. She was such a sweet and gentle soul.
