Dorothy Roseny Hogg, 85, went to be with her maker on May 15, 2018. She was the widow of Constantine (Sonny) Hogg. She was a native of St. Mary, Jamaica. Dorothy was a retired midwife and registered nurse. She raised both children with her unwavering faith in God, hard work, and fierce independence. Dorothy always gave unconditional love to her precious grandchildren who were her heart and soul.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Christopher and Constantine (Rick); and her daughter-in-law: Sabrina (Beena). She was a dedicated grandmother to Ade (Sonny) and Sara Rose Joy-Hogg and future granddaughter-in-law, Kerri Bain. She was a faithful aunt to Shirley and Denton Powell and sister-in-law to Hugh Warren and Hayworth Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Weymouth Funeral Home. Going Home Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Olivet Christian Church with burial to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Olivet Christian Church. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeal Home.
