Dorothy Marie Mayle, 77, gained her wings September 30, 2017, surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter, Tami, in Newport News, VA. She was born May 27, 1940 in Hopewell, VA to the late George and Ellen Walker. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, nanny and friend.
Mrs. Mayle joined her loving Husband of 57 years, Calvin K. Mayle, Sr. who was waiting to meet her in Heaven. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Stanbaugh and Shirley Griffith; and two brothers, Milton and Bubba Walker. She is survived by two sons, Kelley Mayle (Mellonie) of MO, and Lenny Mayle (Rebecca) of FL; three daughters, Cindy Perkins (Tim) of TN, Tami Mayle-Carmine (Bob) of Newport News, and Devonda Bridgers (Russ) of NC; nine grandchildren, Duke, Jesse, Ashley, Bobby, Zack, Kevin Dale, Jacob, Michelle and Cody; eleven great-grandchildren, Kory, Zoey, Joey, Charlee, Piper, Ryder, Addilyn, Taylor, Grayson, Violet and Lyla; and loving Pastor, Marne Palmani and church family at Fort Cooper Baptist Church, Inverness, FL.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bob Wilson. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mayle family for funeral arrangements.
