Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Charlotte Kuddes Gourley, 76, of Newport News, VA passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 30, 2017. Charlotte was born on April 2, 1941 in Amityville, NY to Henry and Charlotte Kuddes. Early in her life, Charlotte was an Army wife and traveled the world. Her passion for food, wine and cheese, led her to work at The Cheese Shop in Newport News and Colonial Williamsburg, VA for over 20 years. Charlotte loved crafting. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much joy.
Charlotte is survived by her three children, Steve (Joyce) Gourley, Barbara Kim, and Jeff (Elise) Gourley; her eight grandchildren whom called her Nana, and her two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life honoring Charlotte at Warwick Forrest Community Room, 1004 Old Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA, on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service in the community room.
