Catherine “Kitty” Elizabeth Leedy, 91, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home in Commonwealth Senior Living in Hampton, VA. Born in Falls Mills, VA to Elihue Kyle Jessee and Annie Louise Jessee, she moved to Newport News in 1976. She retired from CNU as an accountant after 20 years of service. Catherine loved to decorate her house for the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Kenny Leedy and her daughter, Kendra Battese both of Newport News, VA; her brother, Cecil Jessee of Baltimore, MD and her sisters, Cecelia Smith of Newport News, VA and Pat Higgs of Oregon.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
