Audrey Alberta Meadows, 81, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at her home in Newport News. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Arnold Rudolph Tucker and Thelma Amencia Tucker. She lived and worked in Queens, New York where she raised her children for many years before moving to Newport News, Virginia.
Audrey was preceded in death by her loving parents, Arnold and Thelma Tucker; siblings, Mark, Roberta, Vernon, Carol, Anthony, and Lawrence. She leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Albert, Irvin, Stacey, Keisha, and Tamiekka Meadows; six grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Shaesha, Katesha, Irene, Sierra, and Ranyssa Meadows; eight great-grandchildren, Deontae, Tayshawn, Jaylen, Derrick Jr., Juelz, Demetri, Al’aijah and Ur’iel; her siblings, Delores, Arnold, David,Victoria, Darlena, Sasheen and Yolanda. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

There are no tears in Heaven
Nor grief of any kind;
I leave this final teardrop
To those I’ve left behind.
Though absent from the body,
I’m present with the Lord;
The joy of my salvation
