Into the loving arms of Jesus ascended Douglas Lee Graham on December 29, 2021. Doug was born in Athens, Georgia and while growing up blocks from the University of Georgia’s football stadium, he soon became an avid fan. He and his identical twin brother, Don, sold peanuts at the games as youngsters which bonded them to their hometown even more and they returned yearly for family reunions.

Doug loved his family dearly and had a blessed marriage with his wife Mary for twenty years. After their retirements, they traveled, went on cruises, enjoyed their blended families and had a very beautiful and happy life together. Doug loved his family, his friends, but most of all he loved the Lord. He delivered beautiful prayers at gatherings, read his Bible and never missed attending church until his health became an issue and then he watched church online and joined in on singing his inspiring gospel hymns that he grew up with.

Doug never met a stranger and had a good rapport with young and old alike. He had a strong group of buddies who met weekly for coffee and meals to discuss sports, the Redskins, politics and current issues.

In addition to his many friends, he loved his furry ones as well. Doug always was happy having a dog in his lap or sleeping on his bed.

To cherish his beloved memory, he leaves his wife, Mary; his daughters, Cindy Graham, Kelly McMonigal and husband, Sean; his son, Doug Graham Jr. and wife, Laura; his stepdaughters, Christine Fulmore, Anastasia Krisik and husband, Jay; stepson, Bob Makris; and grandchildren, Ambre Delpopoulo, Greg Rogers Jr., Dylan Graham (deceased), Nolan, Landon, Emerson and Hudson Krisik, Nathan and Kaitlyn Fulmore; and great granddaughter, Brianna Rogers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Autry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home by Rev. George Chioros and Deacon Noah Hendrick, followed by a Visitation. Interment will take place at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Newport News, VA.

I will miss you dearly Granddad. You were the the most generous, positive, and kind-hearted person I've ever known. I am going to miss your banana pudding.
